As all of our thoughts are on the COVID-19 situation, we wanted to share an update on how Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County is responding.
The safety and health of our community, including our Club members, volunteers, team members, and their families is always our top priority. To protect our communities, we have decided to close all of our locations, including our administrative office, for two weeks. The closure for our staff begins tomorrow and will continue until March 30th. We will continue to pay full-time and part-time employees during this period. Staff will be able to use this time for online training on safety and compliance issues, as well as for professional development training.
Clubs and KidsCare will continue to mirror the local school systems regarding reopening to members. Current plans are to open to Club members on Monday, April 13th, 2020. All of our locations will undergo deep-cleaning and sanitization before reopening to Club members.
Because the situation is complex and evolving rapidly, our plans may change. We will continue to monitor the situation and make decisions that prioritize the safety of our team, Club members, volunteers, and community.
