Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County was Recognized as a Champion for Youth by Boys & Girls Clubs of America
Goshen, IN – 2-17-25 – Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County is thrilled to announce that we have been honored with the prestigious title of “Champion for Youth” for the year 2024 by the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Office of Government Relations. This recognition places our Club in the top 10 percent of Clubs nationwide for our commitment to advocacy engagement.
The Champion for Youth Award is given annually to Clubs that demonstrate exceptional leadership and proactive efforts in advocating for the needs and rights of youth. Over the past year, our dedicated team has engaged in a variety of initiatives, including meetings with local, state, and federal elected officials, extensive social media outreach, personalized tours for local leaders, and strategic media advocacy.
This award is a testament to our incredible commitment to ensure the best possible future for our youth,” said President and CEO, Dr. Tami Hicks. “We believe in the importance of advocacy and are proud to represent the voices of the young people we serve. We remain committed to building meaningful relationships with our community leaders and working collaboratively with our legislators to create a positive impact.”
The efforts of Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County exemplify the spirit of advocacy that the Boys & Girls Clubs of America strives to promote across the nation. By actively engaging with elected officials and the community, we aim to highlight the critical issues facing our youth today and influence policies that support their growth and development.
