FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE [Elkhart County, Indiana]
As the holiday season approaches, Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County is launching their exciting new campaign, "All It Takes is One," to raise awareness and support for local young people in need. The campaign is centered around the idea that sometimes, all it takes is one act of kindness, one opportunity, or one person to change the trajectory of a child's life.Through the "All It Takes is One" campaign, Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County is highlighting the power of a single gesture in making a lasting impact on a child's future. Whether it's a caring mentor, a transformative experience, or a safe space to go after school, these seemingly simple acts can make a world of difference for a child in need.
The campaign kicks off on October 1st with the installation of life-sized Blue Doors at various businesses throughout Elkhart County. These doors serve as a visual representation of the hope and opportunity that every child receives when they walk through the doors of the Boys & Girls Clubs. By scanning the QR code on the doors; community members can take a virtual tour, make a donation, and show their support for this important cause.
"We believe that all it takes is one person, one gift, or one moment to change the life of a child," says Tami Hicks, President & CEO at Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County. "With the support of our community partners and generous donors, we can provide the necessary resources to help our local young people thrive and succeed."
Throughout the months of October and November, several events are planned to engage the community and raise funds for the Boys & Girls Clubs. From "GivesBack Nights" at local restaurants to a "Day of Giving" at a popular coffee shop, there are plenty of opportunities for individuals to show their support and make a difference.
Upcoming Events Include:
- October 7: Hacienda Gives Back Night in Goshen
- October 22: Scooter's Coffee Give Back Morning in Nappanee
- November 9: Hacienda Gives Back Night in Elkhart
