ELKHART – A family-oriented fun run and walk is returning to downtown Elkhart.
Colors For Kids raises money for Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County’s Brady Clubhouse in Elkhart. The route will be a true 5K this year and starts at downtown Elkhart’s Central Park at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 26.
The event was held virtually in 2020 because of the pandemic. Organizers have been working closely with the Elkhart County Health Department to ensure that the event can be held safely in person this year, with safety protocols in place. There will also be touchless hand sanitizing stations around the park.
Register online at ColorsForKidsElkhart.org. The registration cost is $25 per person. Groups of four or more are $20 per person and groups of 10 or more are $15 per person. The family fun run and walk is presented by Alliance RV and Lippert to benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County began operations in 1956, and today the Clubs provide programming and services for the most at-risk boys and girls within the community. Each day, the Clubs provide powerful relationships with the youth they serve and open avenues of opportunity for young people across their community by offering safe places where young people can learn, grow and succeed.
