Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County Recognized by Indiana House of Representatives

Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County was recognized by the Indiana House of Representatives for outstanding service to Elkhart County youth and leading the way in career and workforce development.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County (BGCEC) was recognized with a House Concurrent resolution on the floor of the Indiana House of Representatives yesterday. The unanimous House Resolution recognized Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County for outstanding service to Elkhart County youth and leading the way in youth workforce development. Through a partnership with IvyTech Community College and innovative in-Club Workforce Development Programs, Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County is helping our community's youth plan for great futures. From first job to dream job, Boys & Girls Clubs’ unique approach to workforce readiness prepares youth for success in their first jobs and helps them develop a plan to achieve their chosen careers.

"It's quite an honor to stand before the Indiana legislature and share our appreciation for their support of the children and families entrusted in our care."

BGCEC leadership met with state legislators and state-wide IvyTech leadership, to discuss BGCEC's flagship career and workforce development program, the ETC Program, and discuss ways to expand the program to benefit additional young people throughout the state.
