As we adventure into the season of Giving, Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County is getting creative with the way members are connecting. Some of the most at-risk youth in our local communities are teens -- and Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County has a new, fun, and filling program to connect, unify, and fill-up the hearts, minds, and bellies of local teens.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County will host a county-wide Friendsgiving at the Cabin on November 17th from 6pm-8pm. This unique and unprecedented event will include Club Teens from each of the 4 Clubs: Elkhart, Goshen, Middlebury, and Nappanee. One of the highlights of Friendsgiving at the Cabin is the diverse range of food options available. The food has been thoughtfully divided among each club to ensure that there are as many choices as possible, including vegetarian options. We are grateful for the generous in-kind donation from Michelle Wright, which has allowed us to purchase most of the food and decorations for this innovative and inclusive event.
In addition to the delicious meal, there will be a variety of themed games and activities for everyone to enjoy. Teens can participate in turkey grab, Thanksgiving bingo, and Thanksgiving toss, among other exciting options. These games and activities are designed to bring laughter, joy, and a sense of camaraderie to the event.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County began operations in 1956. The Clubs offer programming and service opportunities for children & teens to reach their full potential within the community. Each day, the Clubs provide powerful relationships with the youth they serve and open avenues of opportunity for young people across their community by offering safe places where young people can learn, grow and succeed.
